Warm to touch Handrails by J.&A Stevenson



Warm to touch Wall Mounted Handrails

The finish specification for Handrails is;- degrease, grit blast and
electro coat 200 micron thickness Polymer Alloy Coating, giving a surface which is Warm to the touch.

These Warm to Touch handrails have tactile strips on the under side of the rail.
From the third step from the top, the rail would have three tactile like effect strips put on the under side ( a welded strip ) 2nº for the second step and 1nº for the top step. This would then signify to the visually impaired how many steps they have to negotiate, until they reach ramp level.
